Loving yourself is one of the most important life lessons a person can learn. When I didn't love and accept myself exactly the I was, it effected my life in so many ways. Feelings of not being good enough, had to be perfect, took everything so personal, lack of belief in what I was capable of doing and lets not forget a people pleaser. Most important it effected my thoughts and how I interacted with others.
Once I started loving and accepted myself for who I am, the good the bad and the ugly. I realized there were a lot of things that I liked about me. I started with getting rid of the lies I was telling myself and changed my self talk. You know that voice that say you screwed up again and who could possibly love you. I remember asking my now husband why he loved me, it took me a while to get it. His unconditional love gave we wings.
I realized that it doesn't matter who your parents are, what your sexual orientation is, the colour of your skin or anything else. We are each a miracle to this world, so incredibly made. The fact that we are here means someone or something felt we have value and purpose. Just the fact you are here and have breathe and a heartbeat means you are a gift to this world.
When you see a new born baby do they have to do anything to be loved ....NO...their existence makes them precious. Stop and think about that for a minute and let it sink in that it's you. Wow doesn't that change how you see yourself now.
My hope is in sharing my weekly life lessons I can save others a lot of heartache. Maybe you could learn this sooner by knowing it is the most important life lesson ever. The rest build from here. Know you are absolutely 100 percent loveable, you deserve to be loved and respected just because your you !!! If you struggle with loving and accepting yourself please connect with me and let me help.
